Who is a Surrogate?

A surrogate is a woman who chooses to help someone else become a parent by carrying a pregnancy on their behalf.

Through IVF, an embryo is created using the intended parents’ or donor genetics, and the surrogate carries the pregnancy with expert medical care throughout the process. While she is not genetically related to the baby, her role is essential: she provides the environment where life can grow.

Surrogacy is an act of generosity, trust, and partnership. It is a commitment to helping another family experience something deeply meaningful, while being supported, respected, and cared for at every stage.
